Why is membership important?

On November 1st we officially launched our annual St. Louis River Alliance Membership Drive. As another year passes, we are once again reminded that the St. Louis River is a constant source of hope and connection. Bringing groups together again in person for education, recreation, habitat work and celebrations has really brought the spark back into all of our lives.

Throughout the year, the St. Louis River Alliance has seen tremendous growth and engagement from the community. Below you will find a ‘2022 Accomplishments’ letter highlighting the many projects that we and our partners completed this year. Much of this work would not have been possible without the contributions and commitment of the community.

Now until December 13th, 2022 we are hosting our Annual Membership Drive. During this time, if you become a member, donate, or refer a friend to join the St. Louis River Alliance, you’ll be entered into a drawing for a guided kayak trip for six down the St. Louis River (equipment provided). Your support is what keeps our work alive!

Please complete this Membership Form and mail it to St. Louis River Alliance at 394 S. Lake Avenue Suite 208, Duluth, Mn 55802 or apply online at www.stlouisriver.org/become-a-member.

But… why is membership important??

The St. Louis River represents beauty, biological diversity, and cultural values. Having a clean river means healthy drinking water, recreation and a sense of place. By being a member of the St. Louis River Alliance, you become a voice for the river. The St. Louis River Alliance is committed to protecting, restoring and enhancing the river through habitat projects, stewardship events, environmental education, and outreach. We couldn't do this work without you!

It’s important for all of us to participate in these efforts. As a member, you are helping assist with the cleanup of the St. Louis River, but most importantly you are becoming part of a community. Your contributions are what allow us to continue to get people on the water experiencing all that this beautiful resource has to offer.
