2021 SLRA Annual Spring Cleanup

  • 394 South Lake Avenue, Suite 208 Duluth, MN 55802 USA (map)

After what has seemed a very long, quiet year of postponed and cancelled events, the
St. Louis River Alliance is excited to invite volunteers out for a socially distanced Spring Cleanup!

Join us on Tuesday, May 25th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This year we will be cleaning up Miller Creek from Target up towards Kohl’s, and from Target down to the Mall area. Many years ago, the St. Louis River Alliance helped plant trees along the stream that have now matured - we are excited to see how they have grown!

Location: Meet at the Target Parking Lot at 1902 Miller Trunk Hwy, Duluth, MN 55811, near the dumpster right off of Mall Drive. Volunteers and staff will be wearing bright safety vests and we will have St. Louis River Alliance signage out! Please check in with SLRA staff/volunteer so you can sign a waiver.

SLRA will provide bags and some gloves, but please bring your own gloves if you can. Bring your own water bottle. Please dress appropriately for the weather and the job! We will be outside and socially distanced, but please wear a mask if you feel most comfortable doing so.

Interested individuals and organizations may contact the St. Louis River Alliance to find out more about volunteering for this cleanup effort. If you have questions reach out to Alyssa at Outreach@StLouisRiver.org. Groups and other organizations are highly encouraged to get involved!

If you are not able attend, please consider making a monetary donations to support our work. Donate online: www.stlouisriver.org/donate

This is an annual St. Louis River Alliance tradition, and we'd love to see you! Volunteers and Members have long helped with the cleanup of our waterways, and we appreciate your efforts. We're all in this together and can make a difference.

Thank you for supporting clean water!
